Hi all.

I have another favour to ask for anyone who can access Vic BDM info.

My cousin has been trying to found out what happened to his mother, she apparently left the family when he was young, and the last he heard about her, was that she had moved to Victoria.
Her name was Alma Florence Campbell (nee Wilkinson), born around 1916/17/18. She married my uncle, Vincent Valentine Campbell, in Gunnedah in 1937.

So not sure if she re-married, kept her married name, or reverted to her maiden name. Her parents names were William James & Mary.

Any information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott.

Thanks Cando & Noells for all the info, and qucik replies.

I did have his WWII service info, I got it from the Department of Veteran Affairs web site. I've copied the link here, http://www.dva.gov.au/commems_oawg/nominal_rolls/Pages/index.aspx

Scott.

Hello all.
I'm an infrequent user of the chat site, so forgive me if I'm not doing this quite right.
I'm trying to find any info I can on one of my grandmothers brothers. His name is Richard John Franks (known by my father as Jack), he was a sergeant stationed at the Heidelberg military hospital during WWII, and as far as my dad recalls, he stayed in Victoria after the war, and died somewhere in Victoria. If anyone is able to help with death info for him I'd be grateful. He was born in Harden (Murrumburrah), 23/12/1911.
Thanks,
Scott.

Thank you both for replies, I appreciate the information you have found and forwarded.

Are you able to point me in the direction of where look for birth/death/burial info on Thomas & Anne Harris?

Thanks again,

Scott.

Hello, my name is Scott, and this is my first posting/question, so apologies if I give too much or too little detail.

I’m trying to find out some (any) info on my great great great great grandfather, Thomas Harris, and his wife (I have no other info on her).

His son, also named Thomas was married in Sydney in 1850. Thomas Jr was a mariner, and I recently received some info from the maritime museum in Sydney, that shows him gaining his master mariners certificate on 4/07/1872, and has his date of birth as 18/03/1825, in Dartmouth (I had nothing on his DOB before).

I previously had found a marriage notice for one of Thomas Jn’r daughters from 19/08/1874, which mentions his father as “the late Captain Thomas Harris, of Broadhempston, near Totnes, Devonshire, England”. This is all the info I have on Thomas Sr (or any of his family), so any other info anyone could forward would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, and regards,

Scott.
