Hello Arron,
Yes I guess we are related, I was born and live in New Zealand and have spent about 20yrs searching for records of our extended family, however the last ten years I have done nothing more. I was contacted by my Grandfathers, Brothers, Grandaughter who I have never met as she was searching the same line and looking for details of Sampson Ashton. This lady lives in the UK and is a retired Radiographer. Her email started me thinking about this and I found your chat on Rootschat a site I have never used before and It took me a little while to work out how to answer you.
Details of Sampson are very scarce and I have no living relatives with any interest who I can ask.
I do not subscribe to Ancestry.com but did use the site in the early days when it was free and also used Genealogy.com in that way.
I have found the LDS site very usefull as well.
