I am decended from George Morrison and Elspet Bain too! From their son John Morrison b.1838 (married Ann Innes in 1860, had George in 1861 who had my g grandpa William Grant Morrison who had my gran Cathy Morrison).  INteresting that his brother had an illegitimate child as I think John may have left his wife too.  PLease could you let me have any info you have pre- George and Elspet?  Or anything really!

Thanks in advance!

I think your great great great grandmother Agnes, was younger sister of my great great great grandmother Christian.

I was born in Banchory, Aberdeenshire, so my family didn't go far!

 :o

I am also related!

My great grandmother was Emma Donaldson b1890.
Her parents were William Donaldson b.1856 ( married Helen Milne in 1880)
William's parents were William Donaldson b.1821 and his mother was Christian Forbes. b1824
Christian's parents were John Forbes and Christian Valentine who married on 8/11/1818.
I believe they were all from Udny.

I have just started compiling my family tree.  It's fascinating what you can find!  I am asking old family members to look out photos.
