Hi, I lived in Chepstow as a child from 1956. I remember the military patients wearing their blue uniform around the town. They were given a great deal of respect. Around this time my mother was a nurse at the hospital. It had the reputation of being one of the best burns units in the country.

There were two hospitals either side of the St. Lawrence Road. Mount Pleasant Hospital and St. Lawrence Hospital.

Hi David, it would be interesting to see the family tree. Interesting my father's name was Robert, born in 1909. Is he the Robert you refer to?

Great to hear from you.

Hi

I am also researching my Ashby family tree. I have a number of Thomas's, although later in time. I now need to work a little further back.

Thanks for the above information, I will come back to you.

Hi Osprey, I have followed your link, and have used this in the past.

However I cannot find any information on the Moravian Chapel. Can you help me further please.

I can remember going to this chapel on a Sunday with my grandmother and uncle, two services on a Sunday and Sunday School.

Thanks

Richard

Hi All.

I am researching my Trott family links, but am stuck with my grandfather.

I think Henry James Trott was born in 1884, (registered Newport).
There is a Hy J Trott registered in the 1911 Census as living in Newbridge, but aged 25, (1886).
I do know my grandfather married Alice Ann Adelaide Vincent (born 1889, Forest of Dean) in 1920. My mother Margret Eva Trott was born in 1923 and went to school in Newbridge, but I think they left there around 16/18 years later. Could he have died at this time.
I was told he was a miner and I think played rugby.

Where can I go from here please.

Thanks

Richard

Hi Helina, I am researching my Trott family links. I have not got very far. My grandfather was a miner in Newbridge Wales. As a miner there may be family links to the mines in Bristol.

Hi, I am searching the Bicker family, and in particular any links with the Wilson Family in the last 100 years.

Thanks

Richard
