« on: Thursday 18 October 12 06:53 BST (UK)  »
I am searching for the Family of Thomas GOODFELLOW who immigrated to America from England in or before 1639. Any information on Thomas or the Goodfellow families around the London area in ca. 1620?

Yes, I know. I mistakingly posted that inquiry and am sorry. What i did was post onto a site that had the same surname search as i, and that is how this all started. But, Anywho, Back to the subject at hand:

I live in Ninnekah, Oklahoma, or rather, 7 mi. from Chickasha, 4 mi. from Alex, Oklahoma, and 4 miles from Ninnekah, Oklahoma, USA, on a farm.  You have to walk into a library and finish the process of getting your member/library card so u can do the interlibraries that i have checked into that have the book i am interested in. The NEGHS, you pay to become a member of. Also, I have a subscription to their Newsletter and am a member of their website. I had a trial membership to New York's Public Library, but i had to go to New York to finish up and i can't go to New York. Plano, Texas is the CLOSEST and so far i can't get there either.

You can download PDF books for: Families of Early Hartford, Connecticut, Genealogical Guide to the Early Setttlers of America, A Catalogue of the Names of the Puritan Settlers of the Colony of Connecticut, Families of Ancient Wethersfield, Connecticut, BUT, there isn't hardly ANYTHING of his family in England....

I AM DESPERATE to finish up this last Surname in my Family Tree, and it really stinks because this particular one is MINE.

Almost at Wits End,
sakelly69

p.s. I know there are records, I can't get to them. I need to find out if there is anyone out there that knows WHO it is that I speak of or that is any Relation to him.

Any ideas on this matter, ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED, and duly Noted. Thanks!  ;D

YES! I have, and i have looked in the books-EXCEPT for ONE-That his name is in and all that is said is that he had land but either forfeited or sold it, that he had alot and that he died and left his widow Mary, Eldest of Peter Grant. I have searched and found on familysearch.org that Mary states in her deposition, after he died, that anyone searching for his family should look to the London and Essex area. There are several copies of "The Goodfellow Family of Randolph County" Online, BUT I already knew about that part of my family. Now, On Ancestry.com, it refers repeatedly to that same copy. I CANNOT get a copy of the book: Goodfellow Families: A Genealogical Study on pre-1800 NEW YORK Goodfellow Families and their Descendants and their relationship to Thomas Goodfellow, by Erwin Wilcox Fellows....BECAUSE of something to do with a copyright law, because i really don't know why, but the nearest copy is in a Plano, Texas Library. You used to be able to purchase the book, but not anymore.

Hello,
I was just wondering about the Goodfellow side of your family tree. Do u know much about them?
I am a Goodfellow too.  Any info just may help me with my search and maybe yours too!! ;)

In the 1800s part of my family, I Believe anyway, that they migrated to part of Canada. I think maybe that Thomas were a sibling to or an Ancestor of the Canadian Clan-because i was once in Contact with a woman who lived in Canada, that says she was a relation of sorts to ME.

The other, or even just a part of this bunch, was Thomas, who was of either English or of Dutch Descent, although his widdow said, under oath that anyone seeking his family should look to Middlesex, or London area. He came to America in or Before 1639, married in 1681 and Died in 1685.

Also, THOMAS may Not have been born in the year 1620, and i cannot find an EXACT match for his birth year, BUT i have a theory that he is: son to Moses or relation to a Moses Goodfellow, John Goodfellow, William Goodfellow, Cora Goodfellow, another Thomas, Anne.....Okay well, these are Just Theories.....

BUT IF YOU FIND A THOMAS GOODFELLOW FROM LONDON IN YOUR FAMILY TREE, PLEASE CONTACT ME.......

I have family in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Missouri, Ohio USA

THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS
 ;)
