Derbyshire Resources & Offers / Re: Derbyshire Parish records

Hi Derek
I really appreciate your help in my search.
It looks like you found the right John and Hannah Waldram.
The children are in my tree but I had not heard of Sarah Ann.

In the Breedon records I traced a Hannah Johnston born in Wilson 1803 and also an  Ann born 1793 also Wilson, father not shown but could be related? The names were all shown within the period Hannah's parents were having children.

I wonder if Hannah died, and perhaps Ann was her sister.
I am interested in John Waldram the potter.
But I would be interested in your comments.
Thanks Christine

I have a very large number of Derbyshire parish Records and other records, willing to do free lookups.
Do you have the Melbourne Derbyshire  church records. I am wanting the marriage between John Waldram and Hannah Johnston. They married on 9 August 1818 in Melbourne. This appears on the IGI family search  What I want to find out is who his father is.
They have two children in Wilson, one, Thomas ch Breedon on the hill 25 oct 1818. I am hoping these are the parents. Thomas's records show John and Hannah.
If you have this record could you please help.
I am new to this and would appreciate any help.

Otherwise can you direct me where to apply for the license.
Thanks

Thanks so much for the information. The John Waldram I want is married to a Hannah but I found that the John and Hannah Wallis son John dies too early to be the one I want, according to trees I have seen.
I found his children's births for (John and Hannah) = Thomas 1818, Eliza 1822, Sarah 1829 in Breedon on the hill.

Then I found him with another wife Sarah (17 years younger ) but the same daughters, same names and year of birth, in the 1841 census.
The 1851 census shows him as a musician in Belvoir Castle with two Adcock brothers. I wonder if they could be related. I found an Adcock family in Wilson.

I know he lived in Wilson, or his wife did when his son Thomas was born but John's Chelsea pension records show John was born in the parish of St Margaret's near the town of Leicester. He served almost 25 years and left in 1829. He joined up at the age of 17.
So both the census and the military records show 1786.

I am very grateful for your input on this as it is confusing with so many with the same name. But thanks for all your help.

I am new to this site and hope someone can help

I have a John Waldram/Waldron born abt 1785/6. He gives this parish of St Margarets Leicester as his place of birth. This shows in the census as well as military records.

I would appreciate if someone could check on this for me.
