I am looking for any information on McNicoll/McNicol. I have got as far back as the 1833 marriage of George McNicol and Jean Stevenson, they had 4 children Ann, James, John and George (this is my 3x Great Grandfather). I would like to find more info on the others.

George McNicol was born in Meigle abt 1790.

The place name could be this.

PWLLHELI (Gwy) Pwllhely (1292). Meaning: WELSH pwll ‘pool' and heli ‘brine'. The personal name Helig is a less probable alternative.

I am amazed by all the replies to this, Thanks. I downloaded the death entry (below) and although its clear it doesn't tie in.

Can you give us a bit more info?  Whose parents are these, what's the date and where was the record made?
They are the parents of Ann Reid, this was her wedding to my great x2 grandfather in 1883 in Dundee.
