My great uncle Francis Harris and his wife Sarah were Superintendent and Matron there in 1911.
They'd been at Brentwood or Braintree in 1901.
Born in 1964 in Worcester he had returned to that city where he dies but I don't yet have the date.
Perhaps there are school reports with the Supt's signature thereon.
Any info would be appreciated.

i looked at this document in 1996 and there is very little refernce to people such as 2 new pupils admitted today etc with no names

They may have been at the school at the same time as your relatives.
Did the school produce pupil reports and would they have been signed?
Any information would be appreciated.
This is possibly of particular interst to maddfridge and alieninthelakes.

Hi . . .. I would appreciate any help that can be given. I am trying to trace any information regarding my Nana.  She was at cottage homes with her brother and possibly her sister between 1917 and 1925 approx. Her name was Rebecca Pearson/Akenhead and was aged 6 years old when first attended and left at the age of 14.  Her brother William (Bill) a few years older also attended the ophanage.  Her sister Lilian the eldest we are unsure about her attending the ophanage.  Their parents were William and Maria Akenhead.

Many Thanks
