Thank you for the reply. Your Mary Elizabeth Makemson is a descendant of John Makemson b. abt 1788, England who married Anne Howe.
This line in England was proven by DNA testing to be directly related to my line of Makemson in the US. Supposedly John's line was from Ireland.
Our Makemson's were from Scotland and later went to the Scots Irish Colony and, I believe, there are still Makemsons in that area. Then my ancestor brought his family of 7 sons & a daughter to the US about 1759.
So Mary Elizabeth is related to the Makemson family that now lives in London.
There is also another Makemson, living in Wales, who is of this line.
Just can't find any connection with the name in Scotland.
