My fathers name was charles sidney cockayne & his father was charles cockayne who died of wounds received onthe 10/10/1918 & is buried at the beaulencourt british cemetery in france.He was a private in the 1st bn essex  regiment,so I think he may be the person you were referring to.I would like to know if you are related.

[like kevin i was surfing the net & came across this site when I was checking my grandfathers surname & found somebody else enquiring about my grandfather & I was interested in contacting that member to see if we are related. Ged
