I have been reading with interesting the research that you all have done about Donald Nelson's connections.
I had a very quick search and found a very interesting Nelson family tree. Having had a very quick look, it could be that Donald is related to Lord Nelson. Scroll down the page or open the attachment.
I can confirm one marriage as being correct - that of William Nelson to Mary Newton.
