Just a thought, have you tried looking at St Mary Bournes register for baptisms, as both St Peters church in SMB and the church in Hurstbourne T are intwinned and regularly share 'vicars'.
It would not surprise me if you found your relatives somewhere in the registers there.

Leanne

I dont know how much help i can be - if any, but i have the 3 printed editions of 'an everyday story of countryfolk' in my pocession, which is all about Hurstbourne Tarrant and the people in it.  I have seen several times the mention of Bulpit and would be more than happy to have a look through the books for you, if you could tell me any further information on your particular line of bulpits that would give me an idea.
There are even photographs - allbeit black and white ones, you may get lucky and there could be one of a relative!

I dont know if this is of interest to you, but there are an awful lot of Knights in Hurstbourne Tarrant which is a village just outside ANdover.  Knight is an old village name, maybe worth having alook there.

Im looking for information on Ann Smith Ritchie and her family.  I know she was born in 1908 and died 14th Jan 1985 in Brechin Scotland.

Im not exactly sure where she was born - either around Brechin - which im assuming, or perhaps Aberdeenshire.  I want to apply for a birth certificate but dont have enough details, so was wondering if someone could perhaps do a look up for births for me?

I d appreciate any help on this as all my grand dad keep telling me is that he was illigit' and theres nothing to tell, he is no help at all!

The other thing i wanted to ask, was, my grandad tells me he was born in 'Childrens sick Hospital' in Brechin, I can find nothing on this place at all, and he just said it was a place for unmarried mothers.  He tells me it was opposite the old salvation hall in Brechin?
So .....as you can see im not having much luck!

Any help desperately wanted and appreciated!!

Hi all, been a while since i posted but am in need of some help!  Im trying to find out information on Ann Smith Ritchie, i know that she married Arthur Arbuurthnot Bell date unknown  in Brechin.  I also know that she died 14th Jan 1985 age 77 as i have found and visited her grave.  Im interested in finding out who her parents were, i have been told that her mother died young and that her father was either a coal merchant or involved with glassworks? who knows my source isnt that reliable!
I also know she had brothers and sisters, one of which was Agnus Ritchie, again birth not know so any help with any information regarding this family would be a help.  Id like to the send away for the birth marriage certificates etc....but need something to go on.   I live in Hampshire so am unable to do my research in Scotland (oh wouldnt that be nice!).
Thanks in advance
