Durham Lookup Requests / Re: Leadgate, St Ives (Co Durham)
« on: Friday 13 September 13 11:16 BST (UK)  »
Hello again. That makes sense. My aunt said their surname was changed when they came from Ireland and she mentioned Condy. So it looks as if his death may have been recorded against his birth surname (I'm not sure if this is correct). I've sent you a personal message which should contain my email address and I'd be very pleased to receive a copy of his death certificate. We already have the marriage certificate of Hugh and Dorothy (under the names of Kennedy and Fairless).

All the best

Mavis

Hello Alison

Hugh and Dorothy are my great grand-parents. I remember visiting their grave at St. Ives Church in Leadgate sometime in the 80's, long before I became interested in family history. I didn't note any details at the time and recently I have been trying to track down the date of death of Hugh but without success. Please tell me the surname his death was recorded under and any other details you have. My branch of the family comes through their daughter Eliza Jane. Many thanks.
