There is a saying "not for love nor money" - implying that the two were opposites. Usually in relation to goods, or services. As in "A good gardener is not to be had for love nor money."

Possibly a non-conformist, or foreign marriage? A marriage not recognized by the local clergy?

  Hi Chas,
Kiltpin which family is from your Kilt?

          Cheers George
Hello George,

Sorry, I've only just seen your post. I generally wear one of two tartans.

First is Buchanan. I wear the "Buchanan Ancient Muted" as it is not as 'in your face' as the "Buchanan Modern". I am the Buchanan Society Regent for England and Wales, so am often at Clan events. I also wear trews, but only with black tie and only in England.

When not on Clan duties, I wear the official RAF tartan.

Regards

Chas

Hi again Chas

You couldn't produce an image of the Feryman arms as follows:

"Sable, three horses' heads couped argent, bridled gules, within a bordure engrailed or"

You do such a great job of producing these images, which I very much appreciate.

Regards
Robert
I am working on it as we speak, Robert. It is taking time because of the bridle. It seems that it is a pretty unique charge. I will be finished before next weekend.

Hello Robert,

Here you go. "Charlett of Cleeve Prior - Or, a lion rampant within a bordure engrailed Azure.

This size will print on A4 quite nicely. It is saved as a .png file, so you can adjust the colours if you want.

More information needed, I think.

What does the other side look like?

How do you know it is for Tug of War?

Which country does this come from?

Do you know the age?

Observation - The artist had very little idea of animal anatomy!
