Hi Lulu,
I have ben researching the Leslie and there is a lady in Tasmania that has writeen a book on the Leslies and there is apparently pages of history on the family. This is the first I ahve ever heard of a Bible, thats realy interesting. I can tell you that James died on the 21st Aug 1881 Launceston Tasmania and his wife Margaret Gertrude McCarthy was born 10th July 1817 and died 3 Dec 1886 Launceston Tasmania. James was a distiller in Hobart Town where he first settled after arriving in 1830 on the barque 'Juno'. He married Gertrude on Dominick Street, City Cork in 1935 Hobart Town. They npt long after had their first child Thomas James and they then walked to Launceston were they spent the rest of their lives. The were bith buried in St.Mary's Lane, Launceston which is now a bowling green. I have quite a good photo of Margaret Gertrude McCarhty if you would like it?
Hope this was some help and there were some interesting things that you didnt already know.
