Hi Eileen, sent you a message but not sure you can get it.  My partner's name is also George Miller - he was named after your father lol.  He is Albert Miller's eldest son.  He is very interested in his family history as most of his family lived in Liverpool and he had no or very little contact.  He did visit with his Uncle Albert (your dad's brother) with his family when he was a youngster.

The Mary Ann who died in Toronto 1845 from Tuberculosis was the wife of William Lilly b.1791.

They were living in what was known as Muddy York at the time. As far as we know she was not a nurse just nursing

a sickly neighbor. Not able to find anything of her death or burial. She might have been in a sanitorium, however

William comes up in the City Directory 1846 listed as a painter.

I'd like to thank everyone on here for their help.  I just discovered I could print the whole thing out and I've done that.  Amazing work!!!

Take care, wishing you all the best.

I believe we tried that one before....but I'm thinking logically that would make the best sense since they lived in Bootle.  We may have to go to Liverpool lololol.....now that would be fun.

Thank you for suggesting it though, I'm going to keep it in mind and if St. Francis of Assisi comes up blank then I'm going to retry the church in Bootle.

Take care,

Findmypast has a 1920 merchant navy seaman's record for John Thomas Miller of Liverpool born 21 September 1888. It has a photo of him.

The birthdate of 21 September ties in with the RN stoker's papers at the national archives (though that apparently shows 1891 as the birth year)

SeanJ - how do you do this?  I'm on FindMyPast but its a labyrinth.  Can you PM me instructions for seeing the merchant navy record as well as the picture :)  Thank you so much.

Thank you all very very much.  Will check all this new information out when I return from work today as time is short atm.  Am very interested in seeing the photo.  There just might be a family resemblance - one never knows lololol.

Take care, will get back to you later on.
