Thanks Chris - that is her.  I'll try to visit the cemetery soon and I see there is an archive centre in Motherwell with poor law records for Airdrie so will see if they have her poorhouse record.

Sorry for lack of clarity in last sentence - I don't know Airdrie and just wondered if there are other 19th century buildings etc to see today.  I see St Margaret's church has a good website so will take a look at that too.

Kind regards
Donna

Many thanks Chris - the first and last on your list are defintiely mine!

Peter McIntosh's wife Elisabeth died in the Airdrie Poorhouse Hospital in January 1885 aged 63 but not on your list?  Was there another burial ground?  Is there a guide to the sections/plots -  I would now be interested in making a visit to see the graves - though I suspect unmarked

Are there any other locations from these years still to be seen in Airdrie do you know?

so very grateful
Donna

Hi Chris - just sent you a message on your website forum but I'm looking for Devlins in Airdrie 1840s-1880s who came originally from Toomebridge in Antrim.  Also McIntosh family there about the same time originally from Edinburgh and previously to that Blair Atholl.  Think the Devlins will be buried in St Josephs in unmarked graves - can you point me towards some info?

Thanks
Donna

my ancestors were John Devlin born c.1809and his wife Catherine Ellis from Duneane Antrim (Toomebridge)  They left in the 1840s for industrial central Scotland.  John's parents were Patrick Devlin and Heln mcCartney.

Does any of that tie with your tree?

Best wishes
Donna
