Thank you for your information. its nice to know Hortham was such an enlightened place. It was my husband's mother who was sent there in the early forties after having a second illegitimate child. She was in her early twenties and had not had a good early life or the right family support. She was released from there eventually but i have not been able to trace her since.  Thank you so much.

Hi . thanks for that. it bears out what I thought. Funny that occupier shoud be a Bird  as my husband was fosterede by a Bird family and later changed his name to Bird. Many thanks.

Hello. I am rather confused. there are only 12 children of James b 1802 on my tree. I've just rechecked Genes. I too am a direct descendant of his. Margaret Bird.

Thank you too Inheapet. Your list includes some of my Corbishleys but not all. You have James b1852 Rushton but not his daughter Susan Jane- my maternal grandmother although some of his other children are mentioned. Worshippeer.
