Hi Roger

Apologies to you I can see now that it was William who had the 'Gabriel' name not you.  This is my first time on 'Rootschat' and it can be overwhelming at first with all the replies coming back which also need researching.

I knew this family as you can see on my previous message.
I am not saying the children were born out of wedlock, I've managed to find three!!!

Thank you for researching this family but I feel that I have enough info to go it alone!!!

Regards
Sandra

Roger

Looking at the list of names in your message I was interested in your North Wales list.  I find you have 'Gabriel' as one of the names.

Do we have a match with Margaret Gabriel b 26th Nov 1864, at Pen -y - Cae Mold,  she married Evan Roberts b 8th April 1861 Mostyn Flintshire?

regards
Sandra

Last night I went through genes census dates from 1910 (wedding date as above) and up to 1925. I found Vera and Violet with mothers name Lloyd, but none of the others.
It looks as though he married first in Cheshire became a widower and then met Elizabeth.

I couldn't open the 1910 census to check, there appears to have been a problem with the site last night.

I should have thought about Mold when I lived in Wales I went to the library to look at the archives every week!!!

Just tried Genes again and still unable to veiw the 1910 census!!

Thanks to everyone who has given me info on this family.

Marriage date please for Albert Griffiths b 1883 in Flint Flintshire to Elizabeth Ann Lloyd b 1881 in Flint Flintshire.

I do know this family existed as I frequently visited the daughter Violet who lived with her brother Llewelyn (both unmarried) in Connahs Quay Flintshire in the 1950's.

Elizabeth Lloyd would have been my Father's Aunty.

I have 5 children but no birth dates Llewelyn, Albert, Neville, Violet and Vera!!  These childrens names are from my Father's paperwork, so I am not sure if they are from the same family.

I have looked through the year census, north wales BMD, cheshire BMD and still not found them!!!

Any ideas would be welcome!
Regards
Sandra

He was not an Officer, a Private.  Will search for newspapers as you suggested. Thank you.

My Grandfather Edward Lloyd in WW1 served in the 16th South Lancashire Regiment. Would it be possible for me to obtain a photo of him through this regiment?  I have birth, marriage, Death and various other paperwork but no ''face'' to put to the name.

Thank you
Sandra
