Hello

Thanks very much for your reply. I will go with your knowledge that Francis was born in Ireland!

Yes please I would really like to look at your Anxxxxxry information, photo's and documents.

My surname is  Clark, which is a bit generic so its nice to ascribe to the names Coyle / O'Hagan / and now Toner. The Clark's were Catholics who hailed from Derry and we arrived in Glasgow in the mid 1840's where William Clark married Mary Gallagher from Donegal.

We remained in Glasgow, where My GGGF married Charlotte Clarke (with an e - all she did on her wedding day was drop the e off).  Their son Denis had a mixed marriage with a Williamson so hailed from Armagh  which produced my father who married a daughter of Rachel Coyle, Mary Sutherland, which produced me and my brothers. I live in Nottingham where I have a son called Broch and my partner is mixed race, her father is Nigerian and her mother French, so we have mixed the old gene pool up somewhat!

I have some documents from Scotland's People about Rachel and am happy to share them with you.

Best regards

Scotty

trying to find info on marraige between Francis Coyle and Elizabeth
o`Hagan (or Hagan)in Cookstown Ireland .They had a son Thomas
born in 1900 (Thomas is my grandfather)Any info on this family would be most welcome.

Hello all who have posted on here.

Rachel Coyle was my maternal grandmother. She married Alex Sutherland my grandfather and they had nine children, who were all brought up in Possil Park, Glasgow and the surrounding northern part of the city, where some descendants remain. Others are spread as far as Canada, Liverpool, Nottingham and Chatham Kent.

Rachel died in 1972, a year after her husband Alex died.

I have been told that Frank her father had been born in Liverpool but had returned to ireland.

I have documents from Scotlands People . gov .uk pertaining to Rachel and her life if anyone else wants them.

All the best

Scotty
