I'll be visiting Scotland this October ( from Canada) and while there thought I would try and dip into my family history a bit.
My grandmother was born in the Hamilton area and moved with her parents and siblings to Canada, leaving behind a wealth of family in Scotland
From what I have found online, I believe that my Great-Great Grandmother as well as her mother were both buried in Muirkirk New Cemetery. Are there records online for who is buried there?
My Great-Great Grandmother is Sarah Chappell, who married Alois Schlothauer (changed to Slater). She did remarry before she passed away and I believe her final name was Sarah Duncan.
According to a family historian, she was buried near or with her mother who was Agnes Chappel ( nee Spence).
Any help would be very much appreciated!
