Happy to do that Cath, a lot of information is outlined below in Debbies email trail. Where are you located and how much of the family do you know about? Suspect its best if you send me your email address on a personal message so I can send you what i have got.

Hello Annie,

Thanks for your response, much appreciated.
Her mother and her maternal grandmother don't have this name so I am thinking it must be on the fathers side or even further back. It is strange that she is the only one in her family with this name so I shall continue to look for it.
Appreciate your input.

Hellen McPhee McCormick (Mothers name Cleig) was my Grandmother who married my Grandfather Patrick Hamill in Campbeltown  28/11/1911.

Many thanks Aghadowey, where would I be without you!

I have just found that Catherine was a widow with her 1st Marriage to David Boyd- her parents were David McCormick & Mary Brown. She subsequently married William Pollock.

William Pollocks parents were John Pollock and Margaret Adams.
None of this makes the search any easier, but I wil try the church records as you suggest.

Thanks for the direction! :)

I am looking for William Pollock dob-1794, and his wife Catherine McCormick 1815, she may have been married before to Boyd?
Both apparently come from Antrim area and moved to Paisley in Scotland around 1850.
9 children in total of which three were born in Ireland: William, Robert, Martin.

Any help would be great.
Regards
Alastair :)

I would much appreciate any help in tracing the life of Agnes Andrea Pollock dob-1894, daughter of Daniel Pollock and Elizabeth Killoch.
She was born and lived in Paisley until around 1920 then dissapeared of the face of the map.
Her brothers and sisters were: Catherine(Kate), William, Martin, James, and Martha.
They lived in Causeyside Street, then McKerrell Street, and lastly High Street.
She went to London for a period of time and was then reputed to marry and Australian soldier??
I cannot find anything.
Help would be great. :)
Thanks
Alastair

I have hit another road block.

I have found Patrick Hamill born Glenravel Antrim 1801 and married to Mary McKeegan dob 1811  married 19/3/1827 @Glenravel Skerry Roman Catholic Church, living at Glenleslie Townland Antrim as a farmer.  They had 8 children mainly workers in the linen trade. Catherine, John, Ellen, James, Patrick-1836-1871, (who is the link to my family line) Mary, Annie, Robert.

I cannot find any links backwards in time or location to Patrick 1801.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thansk
Alastair :)
