Hi Norrie,

Thanks so much for all of that information, I will have to sit down and have a good look through it all, I really appreciate it.
I don't recall being able to see the sea from the cemetery I went to and I've had a look at google earth and St Drostan's does look familiar, the layout, the main building and the entrance. Are your records just from headstones that you have photographed? I was thinking perhaps I could call the council department that has the cemetery records and confirm where they are buried. My Mum is currently in the UK on a 6 week holiday and will be in Scotland in a few weeks, hopefully I can figure it out so she can go the the cemetery while she's there.
Thanks again for all of the information.

Megan

Hi Norrie,

Thanks so much for your quick reply. I'm not sure about the other names, I have just started helping my Mum with our family tree, we haven't done much yet.
I went to Thornton about 15 years ago (I live in Australia), and I went to a cemetery that was close by, do you know if St Drostan's is the closest to Thornton? I rang the information number that was listed at the cemetery entrance and they said that Robert and Anne Barclay were buried there and gave me the plot numbers but I couldn't find them, perhaps there were no headstones. I was a young backpacker at the time, so wasn't overly interested in family history and I didn't take note of the cemetery name or even take any photos. (Needless to say my Mum wasn't very impressed when I got home!) So I'm trying to help now!

Thanks again for checking.

Hello Norrie,

I am looking for Robert Barclay, died 1935 and Anne Barclay, (nee Latto) died 1929, my Gr Gr Grandparents.  I think they may be buried at St Drostans.

Thanks in advance
