Durham / Marriage Look ups
« on: Wednesday 29 October 25 16:38 GMT (UK)  »
Normally I think Newcastle Evening Chronicle only did death notices but then I saw the possibility of a marriage announcement (even thought it said the item might be computer generated subject to error.
Weddings have just those invited so an announcement in the paper is something for those locals uninvited or exes perhaps?
The marriage was    Miss Lynda Marion Robson      28 Jun 1952
Spouse   Mr Raymond Phillipson  St Albans , Windy Nook.

Hi Boo a year on the people I struggled to identify were the living "children" and their husbands n wives. Thing is there was  Ken, a Jean and these were different people. The kindness they showed William was stunning. William did have a surviving brother John  but he & his family were just not interested in keeping family ties
Ta 4 your post

Ta Boo
I have never seen posts a year after before so many thanks for the eye opener.
Ken dtr in law Evelyne & a grandchild     wow there were 3 boys eventually!!

I just saw an Elizabeth J Simpson on 1939 A spinster - Robson &  M   FFN 31 8 49 was added later in blue ink. She was living with her parents at 40 Waggon Way ....not sure of address but is 31/8/49 a marriage date or just some other date? Good tie in

On Mary Jane being Mollie or Molly I dont blame her as there were 3 Mary Janes in her family
