Warwickshire Lookup Requests / Smith Family Packington - 1841 / 51
« on: Wednesday 05 October 05 12:41 BST (UK)  »
I would be grateful if someone could look up any details of the Smith family (might be a few!) from Packington Warwickshire.
William Smith b1801, his wife Sarah b 1799 Stratford upon Avon, and their son Richard b Packington 1840. Any info from the 1841 and 51 census would be useful.

Regards

Andy

Buckinghamshire / Re: John Ray of East Claydon Bucks

Hi Tazzie,
Yes I think you are right. I have had some info from the Bucks family history society which hopefully pulls all this together. I believe that the data on 1851 is Johns family and hopefully will be able to go back even further (with help from others).

Thanks for your input any other info would be gratefully accepted, I do not have access to 1841 or 51 census.

Regards

Andy.

Wiltshire / Sarah Dew (formerly Glass) of Aldbourne Wilts
« on: Wednesday 20 July 05 12:39 BST (UK)  »
I am tracing the Glass family who lived in and around Aldbourne in the 1800 - 1850 area. The name of Sarah Glass (later Dew) keeps coming up. She was born in 1801 in Easton Wilts. I would be very interested to know who her parents were. This may connect her to my Grt Grt Grandfather Alfred Glass who also came from Aldbourne.

Thanks and Regards

Andy.

Buckinghamshire Lookup Requests / John / Mary Ray 1841, 51
« on: Thursday 14 July 05 14:53 BST (UK)  »
I would be very grateful if someone would look up my Grt Grt Grandparents in the 1841 / 51 census. John Ray was born in East Claydon Bucks in the 1830's, he eventually married a Mary Reynolds from Penllyme Glamorgan and moved to Wiltshire. I have nothing on them before 1861. Any info would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Andy.

Buckinghamshire / John Ray of East Claydon Bucks
« on: Thursday 14 July 05 14:47 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for info on my Grt Grt Grandfather John Ray who was born in 1834 in East Claydon. According to the 1861 census he married a Mary Reynolds and had 2 children Thomas George and Clara Georgina. I have had no luck in tracing John or Mary after the 1861 census and also would be interested to know anything about John or his parents before 1861.

Many Thanks

Andy.

Wiltshire / Re: Mary Ann PYLE - Manton Wiltshire 1832/33
« on: Monday 04 July 05 13:22 BST (UK)  »
Thanks Sue,
I am confident that this is my relation Alfred, however the Mary Ann that he married cannot be tied down to being a Pyle from the census. The only marriage certificate that i have found looks right but does not give Mary Ann Pyles birthplace as Manton, so I cannot be sure. There is another Alfred Glass who was born about the same time in Chippenham who also married a Mary. His father was definitely a William so it may be this Alfred who married a Pyle. Am still confused.

Thanks for your input

Andy.

Wiltshire / Mary Ann PYLE - Manton Wiltshire 1832/33
« on: Friday 01 July 05 12:54 BST (UK)  »
Can anybody give me any information about a Mary Ann Pyle who was born in 1832/33 in Manton Wiltshire. I believe that she married an Alfred Glass (Aldbourne Wiltshire 1832)in 1854. Any confirmation would be useful. Alfred Glass is my Grt Grt Grandfather and I have a marriage certificate from Marlborough 1854 which I believe is theirs but shows the wrong name for Alfreds father (William and I think it should be  Philip).

Thanks and regards

Andy.
