Thank you so much for that information. I hadn't thought of Hereford family history society.
Will see what I find there.

Not a bad idea except there are quite a few Moreton's I need to sort out. We are in the area in Aug and it seemed an ideal time to sort the little dears out
If I have no joy in finding the records personally I will certainly use your suggestion

I wish to look at St Owen's parish records, unfortunately the PRO is only open 1 week a month. Not the week we will be in the area! Are there other places to see the records? The PRO office were not that helpful. Most of my family are from that area so it would be great to spend sometime on the records. If not does anyone know if it is possible to buy the records. I have checked the Forest of Dean web site but typically my area isn't covered
Thank you

Thank you so much. My grandfather mentioned an Emily, but there really wasn't one to fit the bill, I wonder if you've cracked it

Well another one for me to look at. People seem to change their places of birth. Will look that up. Thank you ever so much for taking the time

Thank you so much for spending the time looking for me, that should make it easier when trying to find who lived there 1908, I think. I'm getting better with the internet but it takes me quite a long time, and then I forget where I found information!!

Thank you so much for looking for me. This certainly seems the best solution to the marriage name.

She is down as spinster on marriage certificate of 1876, and she lived in the Plough and Harrow, Upper Chapel, prior to her marriage. I think her mother remarried and she decided to add his name, although on the certificate it doesn't state deceased. Although I have some that do, and you know full well the were alive!!!
But thank you for thinking about it
