Hi Norrie
There are many Moyes and Stobie surnames I'm looking for as I don't know where they ended up.
Most lived around Saline, Dunfermline, Tulliallan in Perth etc etc.
Basically was hoping to fill some gaps
Appreciate your reply
Regards
Paul

Hi
I have in my wife's family tree a James Allan Farrell born 1871 marrying Mary Paton Stobie born 5 July 1877 Pittencrieff Street. on 11 June 1897 in Victoria Street, Dunfermline.
Mary died 5 October 1905 Age 32 years and they had one child David Farrell born 1901 which I picked up on Ancestry - Miles family tree.
Mary's parents David Stobie and Elizabeth Watters - David's parents were John Stobie and Mary Paton
Although not a direct line of my wife's family David Stobie was a brother to a John Stobie who married an Elizabeth Sinclair who were my wife's Gt Grandparents.
David and John were one of 8 children another brother George married a Jane Watters born 1843 died 8 Aug 1889 who was Elizabeth's sister. George and Jane also had a Mary Paton Stobie born 16 September 1874 who married George Spowart Aitken on the 7 Jan 1898.
Hope this is of interest.
I am also researching apart from Stobie, Moyes, Carnegie
Cheers

Hi
In my family tree I have a James Muir and a Jane Muir but no other details about them except children Jane Muir born 1837 in New Monkland, Bothwell and a William Muir born 1846 in Bothwell according to 1861 census once again no other details on William.
Jane Muir b 1837 married a John Connelly 18 April 1851 in Bothwell and had 10 children.
John Connelly died 22 Feb 1891 in Stonefield aged 61 years and Jane died 16 May 1910 in Forrest Street, Blantyre.
Have some details of Jane and John's children but son Peter born 9 April 1872 in Kirkton, Blantyre was my Gt. Grandfather
Just wondering if there's any connection.
Cheers

Hi
Maybe we can exchange information.
I have also been researching for the family of Richard Henry Smith and Nellie Maud Samways.
My wife is a granddaughter of Richard Henry Smith but from his first marriage to Edith Ellen Middlemiss.
I only knew of 2 female children from Richard Henry Smith and Nellie form his death certificate now I have the names one was born about 1935 and the other 1936.
I have info as Nellie Maud Samways born 21 Feb 1904 died 29 August 1972 in Blenheim but that's all, I don't have the certificate.
Richard Henry born 2 Nov 1893 in Greytown married Nellie 1933 and he died 22 April 1964.
Interested in hearing from you.
Paul
