Lanarkshire / Re: William WALKER Old Monkland about 1805-1831?

Someone on this site provided me the marriage information of Margaret Duff and Hugh Martin (1831) and also that Margaret Duff's parents were Jean (Jane?) Thompson and James Duff M 11 Nov 1803 by Dr. William Taylor in Glasgow. I do not have any other information on them and do not have a baptism for Margaret Walker.
William Walker is the mystery for me and I suppose it is possible they never married. I found a baptism listing yesterday for a William Walker 1806 in Stonehouse, but have no documentation.
Really just going by what is on Margaret Walker Martin Kennedy's death certificate says of father and mother. My mother says that no one in the family ever talked about William Walker and do not have any pics or info. I have pictures of Margaret and James Kennedy.
I want to make a trip over to go to the Mitchell Library but not sure when that will happen

My goal is to try and get to at least the 1700's haha But it is apparent that during the times names were used and reused and similar to many others in those days. I did learn through a death record the my great great grandmothers parents were William Walker and Margaret Duff. Genealogy is both fun and frustrating at the same time
