My fathers family are Byron from Ballina, Co. Mayo
They have settled in Leeds over the last century. Regrettably, there are now more Byron's here than in Ireland. Most of my fathers generation, were married in St.Annes, as the Woodhouse area (St.Annes parish) was the only area in which Irish were able to settle at the turn of the last century. Over time, the Irish spread to the York Road area (Mount St. Mary's)
