Both Dynan and Dinan are still popular surnames in the greater Cork area. Some more info may be had from the parish records in west Cork, in possibly the Macroom areas. Also the early 20th century census are now available online FOC which may help further - 1901 and 1911 http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/
