Hi everyone,
Just found this site and am blown away with all the information on it! My dad and his 3 brothers went to Ashford school, although I am lead to believe his older brothers previously went to Shirley Residential School.
Gnasher, I'd love to get copies of your book for me, my dad and his brother - but as I'm new I can't seem to message you. I would also love to get copies of the school magazine too.
Admin - please can you help?
My dad has hardly ever spoken about this time in his life, apart from how he used to practice throwing a cricket ball against a wall, watching the planes flying overhead and the holidays to Walton on the Naze, so reading all your comments has helped me understand why he is the way he is
