First I'm over the moon! Yes I did know Alfred, my mum's brother went to Australia in 1925. I knew my grandmother Ellen, my mother was called Sarah and she had five children, me being the youngest Veronica.
I can't find the marriage certificate of Eugene and Ellen Cassiet. Albert's correct name is Alfred Victor.
I am looking into the family history from Cardiff Wales. I only knew  that they were living in Liverpool from the 1901 census.I am not sure when settled in Cardiff. both children were aged about 9 and 10.
I'm so thrilled to know of the Australian connection as I only knew that Alfred went to Australia 1925. He lost touch with the family but they always believed he was still alive.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Veronica.

Lancashire / Cassiett or Cassiet family Liverpool

I am looking for  the Cassiet family that lived in Liverpool around 1900.Eugene Leon Cassiett married Ellen Fudge and had two children Alfred Victor 1900 Sarah Alice 1902. Eugene was born in Paris 1885. Believed widowed, Ellen lived in Cardiff in 1911 with the children. I have found no record of Eugene's death. He was an able seaman in the Merchant Navy. Sometimes his surname was spelt with one T.
I would be pleased to hear from anyone who has any information on this family name.
