Thanks John,  It would be good to see some photos. I did visit the Butchers shop in Ticehurst to visit relatives still living in there when I was about 6 years old in about 1964. I dont know who has the premises now, possibly still my relatives ? I rememer vividly a very large and very worn stone step between one room and another, the area where the animals were slaughtered, and the shop counter area.

My commection is:
Jacob Field 1861-1911 was my Great Grandfather ..., his son Joseph born 1890 was my Granfather, and Josephs daughter Molly 1921 - 1991 was my mother.

In answer to your query, I am the Great Grandson of Jacob Field who lived at Rowley Farm House and was Farmer and Butcher in Ticechurst Sussex.
