Both families were Presbyterian

Does anyone have any suggestions where I could find a record of the above marriage. Their first child was born in 1818 so I presume the wedding would have been sometime from 1815 as both were born in around 1793/4. Annes father was a Roger Moffat also from East Ord. They seem to have been presbyterians but I cant find them in the church records for Spittal Presbyterian. Also there is no record of the birth of their son Andrew in 1823 but all the other children are recorded in church records.

did do a person search for Tobias Mi(t)chell and nothing in the protestation or hearth tax. You are probably right about the Civil war/Commonwealth period but I can't find any Michells pre that time in the Perranuthnoe parish records so probably they did come from elsewhere.

I have used the OPC and parish records from family search for the Perranuthnoe area. I will have to widen my search. Think that I will have to ring the record office and order the will document.
Have you any thoughts on the earlier Michells(Tobias ...)?

The strange thing is there are no John Michells that I can find buried in parish records around 1751 in Perranuthnoe or surrounding parishes?

Thanks for that. Will look that up and see if i can get a copy. Unfortunately I dont think it would tell me which John Michell it is.
Have deleted my entry in general and issued an apology. I put it in the wrong section.

Cornwall Lookup Requests / Perranuthnoe Mic(t)ells

I could do with a little help on my Mitchell/Michell ancestors from Perranuthnoe who I have been tracing through Parish records. My last certain ancestor is Henry born 1736 to John and Mary who were married in 1722. Which John is open to question as there were two baptised at Perranuthnoe that would fit. One in 1704 and one 1700 which is my guess given the marriage date. John's father was Thomas born 1673 and his father Tobias. here the trail runs out as there is no Tobias or Michell in Perranuthnoe that I can find before 1664. Tobias was married to Elinor Dielaragetto in 1665. Does it mean that he came from another Parish? On the IGI there is one Tobias Mitchell from Gwinear born around 1642. If anyone couls help with these problems or point me in the right direction i would be grateful.
Kind Regards
Geoff
