Thanks so much for the information China!

The photo came from my Granny's album.  She was born in 1905 Belfast.  I think it was black and white when I scanned it.  I don't remember anything on the back, but I will look again when I get to Mum's next month.

Oh Mopsy_jay, that is just wonderful!  Thank you so much.  I, also, love genealogy.  I admit it, I am sadly addicted....    We live in Canada and went on a big trip in 2004 back east, down to Tennessee, the Gulf Coast and thorough AZ to the Pacific and back home.

In celebration of our 10th year on-the-road, we are doing another big trip this year, but this time, we are going to "take in" the corner we missed last time.  North & South Carolina, Georgia and Florida, so excited!

Your work on the picture is awesome!  I will probably never know who it is, but it brings me joy!

Thanks so much  Geri

Antrim / Re: Knockbreda Cemetery lookup - Baillie

Mike

Just wanted to let you know that I  have the name Baillie in my family tree also.  My grandfather was Thomas Baillie Dugan.  His Aunt was married to a Thomas Baillie who passed in 1917.  Thomas Baillie's father was Hugh.

I don't know if there is a connection or not, but maybe....

I being from Canada, know how you feel about the generosity of these people on the genealogy websites in the UK.  They have been so helpful and it is so appreciated.

Reading about your mom's reaction to the pictures brought tears to my eyes.  What a beautiful gift you were given by these wonderful, caring people!

Kudos!  Geri Hill

Thank you for trying Mahalia

I do believe it is a bit better.
I am going to go online to do a search and see if I can figure it out by the outline of the building.

Cheers

Thanks James

Your deductions are most likely true.  I wanted to know for sure because he was in the Royal Navy and when I saw this picture, I was confused.

I will assume it was taken in celebration of his heritage and nothing to do with his Military history.

Thanks so much
Cheers

This is a picture of a Mural that was painted by Romeo TooGood who was my Granny's beau before she relocated to Canada.  When she first moved to Canada, Romeo would send her small sketches and paintings with cute things written on the back of them.

In the 60's my Uncle travelled back to Belfast and took this picture of the Mural on Edlingham Street at the end of the building that both his family and the TooGood family lived in on Hogarth Street.

I have no idea what it looked like, but was hoping if it could be fixed up a bit, I could find a picture of what it looked like to show my mum.

Any ideas of what how it originally appeared?

Is there any chance that this picture of my Great Uncle could be made clearer?  Thanks so much!
