Hello Maurice

I have only just seen your post - and would love to compare notes about the McINERNEYs and the GUMMERs!

I have Catherine McINERNEY nee O'BRIEN now on both the 1901 and 1911 census as a widow, and a publican in Queen Street in Limerick.

Hope you see this quicker than I saw your post!

Louisa

I used http://limerick.brsgenealogy.com/ to find some Church records for my McINERNEYs in Limerick and I have checked and  there is a marriage record there for a Harold Foster in 1908 and a birth record for Mary Margaret FOSTER in 1909 - it will cost you 5 euros to view per record however, which can work out quite steep if you have a lot to search for.

Can anyone else suggest another, cheaper route?

I have two MCINERNEY Limerick connections in my family.

My great-grandmother Catherine Theresa MCINERNEY (b Limerick, 2 Mar 1875) was the daughter of Patrick MCINERNEY (Shipwright) and Catherine O'BRIEN.  She married Philip Edward GUMMER in 1898 in Malta.

Philip Edward GUMMER's mother was also a MCINERNEY - Margaret MCINERNEY (b Limerick, 28 Nov 1847) was the daughter of Edward MCINERNEY (Shipwright) and Anne MINIHAN.  She married Henry Francis GUMMER in Limerick in 1871

As yet I don't know anything else about the other members of the relevant families, so if anyone has anything they can add I would be very grateful!
