So glad to hear from you.  We are related my great grandfather was William's younger son Walter.  I knew a lot of what you wrote but not about the wills and doing well.  My name is Dawn and I live in Australia.  Would you like to correspond further?
Didn't another daughter called Sarah marry someone with whom she ran a pub at the same time as her mum and dad had the Foundry Inn?  Like I said, I am thrilled to have made contact!! Warm regards, Dawn Webster.

Yorkshire (West Riding) / Mary Gelder 1689 Woodhouse

I have traced my foremothers back 12 generations to Mary Gelder baptised in abt 1689.  The family was from Woodhouse Leeds and she married John Fielding.  Their family moved to Hull for a couple of generations and then back to Leeds. Does anyone know where I can go from here to find out about the Gelder family.  I would like to look further back and also find her mother. I am wondering if they had to do with the horse trade or were migrants, from the Netherlands perhaps.  Can anyone help with this?

I am looking for information on The Foundry Inn Marshall Street Holbeck circa 1880, my great great grandfather William Webster was the licensee.  Are there any relatives out there or does any one know anything more about this family/ place or have any photos of the pub? I am in Australia so it is really hard to research it.  I know there must be a lot of descendants out there.  Is anyone else researching this family too?
