I know of a Benjamin Cook who married Elizabeth Perkins and lived in Bury St Edmunds in 19th century ( died around 1872 ). They had two daughters who married two brothers of the Ridley family. Let me know if you want more info.

Hi, l know this is a long shot but l wonder if someone would be kind enough to look up the following?.

Benjamin COOK born c1788 He was a hosier/shoemaker in the Butter market area of BSE, there is an entry for a Benjamin Cook in the 1844 Whires directory for Suffolk but that is all l know other than he was married.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Hi again Mell 100,

I checked your posts and know now where you fit in. I have a copy of William Herbert Perkins marriage certificate to Maria Nason, and assume you are descended from them. However if we can't chat both ways about people long gone then there is little point in our continuing.
Best Wishes Graham

Hi Mell100,

Henry Perkins was my 3 X great grandfather through his eldest daughter Betsey. I have a copy of his birth entry in  St Peter Port, A dedication written by him  to his Perkins grandparents , his signature and much more. You already know of his nine siblings. Henry and Ann ( Nancy) had 8 children Betsey, Ann, Jane, Henry, Emma, George, William and John Edwin. There are present day descendants of this family in Australia and America as well as England. An extensive history of the family exists - written by the late Harry Perkins in 1980. I have written about Henry's family ( around 20 odd pages) if you would like a copy. In return, I would like to know how you are related to him and how you found out about him.

I look forward to hearing from you.
Graham ( Warrington UK)
