I realize this post could be in either hand writing identification or here but since it is Llangollen specific I opted for Denbighshire. In the attached pic there are 3 simultaneous Edward baptisms .... no need to reenforce the reason for the final number of Edwards families I guess! My focus is on Edward son of Isaac ap Edward. The transcription I have so far  goes like this, “Edwardus filius Isaac ab Edward do Crogen Lladys sepultus fuit 13 die Decemb. 1680”
It's the place name I cannot find & to be honest I'm not sure it is 'Lladys' ... any ideas? At the top of the pic there is also a Crogen Fddon, I know there is a Crogen Hall some 15 miles to the West of Llangollen near Llandrillo, Corwen, but it seems a little far to travel for a baptism (or burial in this case).

I've been using Photoshop for 15 years & still learning or I should say improving. Once the basic moves are there you can really fly with it.... I suggest having a look at the link attached for courses & I cannot praise them enough. I found illustrated teaching books hard to follow but the videos are superb. The reason being I could watch a technique on video 3 times in the same time as reading once. With a larger monitor or even better a 2nd monitor you can click when the teacher clicks.

I have experience with CS2 & it will do the job just fine ... if you have a full CS2 key then you could update to CS6 at a reasonable cost. I'd say it's worth it just for the vastly improved controls for curves & levels , an essential part of retouching.

Hi Arthur, that helped a great deal... on the previous pages the clerk had been using 'nuptia rolobrat' or something similar. The month of January was written heading the Christenings column, I'd put it in there thinking perhaps Jany. was written. I also tried to squeeze in 'contraxerunt'. This chap William was the 'parish clarke' of Rothwell either at this time or later so perhaps he liked the bit of fancy for his own marriage! I have not come across manus coniunxerunt & will keep it in mind. The spouses surname is giving me headaches.... Kruark, Linark, Linack. I might make a separate quest for it later for it if nothing certain shows.

There is one Chapel question which still stands out & that is the location of the original Salem Chapel dated 1832. The one in Glyn on the High Street is dated 1884, streetmap; 320135,337724 & can be seen on Google streetview.

We'll then get to grips and try complete these ministers. John Hughes was obviously a long serving Reverend until his death but I wonder when he started.
