They go back a way past that and I've lust started looking at this part of the tree again. It will take me a while to collate the data but I have the marriages, births and deaths through the 1700's to organise then build into the tree.

Richard Croxford was the first Croxford to appear in Crowland .I have come down from him to 2012.
I think he came from Oxfordshire or Huntington area most Croxfords 0riginated from Oxford area REf, John de Croxford of Kiddlington Lord of the manor in 1200s.
I will keep searching, any help always taken on board.

Hi Trish,
I been through the Crowland records and come up with just the same as your self, I had followed Green Croxford as i have all his details. I think Richard was the first Croxford in Crowland. The name Craxford pops up but i am sure this was a spelling mistake by a vicar as it mostly appears in the Baptisms.
The thing is did Richard come from the Huntington or Oxford Croxford i would say they are all related from John de Croxford
of Kiddlington in Oxfordshire.
