Good luck, Matt! Unfortunately, Flynn is one of those names that is scattered all over the country. There are multiple origins for Flynn. Perhaps it might prove more productive if you located where in Ireland your John Donovan originated and try looking for Flynns there. I know that Catherine's family may have come from another part of Ireland but it might be easier starting from what you know. Most Flynns in Munster originated in the Muskerry area of Cork. However, that isn't to say that some of them weren't from up the country. Have you any extra information from their marriage entry? Anyway, try this link, it might give you some background information that might help: http://www.goireland.com/Genealogy/scripts/Family.asp?FamilyID=132.

It's just that the portrait I was looking at didn't really look like the woman I had in my portrait (but then again, I'm not really good at that kind of stuff!). The portrait Amy provided really, really helped! Thanks everyone; the friendly and helpful members of rootschat are the BEST!
