Wish I could help - but not able  :-\ My GG Grandad Sanderson and GGG Grandad Lowther both married in the Bethel Chapel at Kirkbymoorside just outside the dates you mention (1860 Rev Geo W Harris and 1886 Rev H Rose Rae).  If you get any pics with the above names would love to know  ::)

Good Luck

With regards to 'Our John James' we feel we 'may' have the solution but would still love any evidence to back this up.  We are looking for any newspaper articles relating to a John James Trattles (aka James Harrison).  We have located memorial notices (image attached) but want to see if there is a death notice anywhere in Middlesbrough. (circa 1896)

Also any articles in Scarborough area (1861 - 71) regards to a John Trattles son of Thomas Trattles .  We believe John may have left Scarborough to go and stay with the Aunt and Uncle (Harrison) in Commondale / Danby for a period of time before moving to Stockton and then onto Middlesbrough.

Johns mother may have been Jane Trattles (nee Harrison) - but we cannot figure why he became known as James Harrison in his later years. ??? Had he been in trouble?  Did he fall out with the family? etc etc

Many Thanks in advance
Lynne & Julie
