World War One / Royal Flying Corp record - help to decifer text needed
« on: Monday 24 December 12 06:44 GMT (UK)  »
I have obtained an individual's RFC record of service from the National Archives, but need some help in decifering the brigade notations and other handwriting on the record.
If anyone could direct me to a good reference or another board that may be able to assist, I'd appreciate it.

Aberdeenshire / Militia ~1800 Aberdeenshire
« on: Sunday 12 June 05 09:30 BST (UK)  »
Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction to finding more out about the Aberdeenshire Militia ~1800? I have Daniel Gordon m Mary Scott in Dundee 1801. He was a member of Aberdeenshire Militia. Why would he have been in Dundee? Are there muster rolls for the Aberdeenshire Militia ~1800?
Any suggestions appreciated.
