Now to get on to finding out the truth (or otherwise) of the other stories about Joseph.  Just call me doubtful!

Hello Jillie

I've got a sub to FindMyPast but the Chelsea Pensioners' records aren't there.  Haven't got Ancestry.  Can a non-subscriber have access to your tree?  I looked on Public Trees and got nowhere.

Any help re access for this incompetent would be welcome!

Regards

Jackie

I've just started researching my husband's family tree and Joseph Wild (the elder) is his ancestor too.  Have you been told the story about him having his horse shot from under him?  - is it true? and where documented?

So much to find out!

Thanks Sue for the burial info and Diddy for the extra one and also the hint about 'search' (successfully navigated).  I see that Suffolk RO sells PR fiche - something to think about.

Thanks for your interest Diddy.  The only child I have for this marriage is Harriet bapt 1820 Capel St Mary so the chances are that there's several others before her.

Ann HEARSUM married Henry/Harry COOK 1806 Capel St Mary. Does anyone have any info about whether either (or both) of them were bapt there?  Anyone else researching this couple?

(My first time on Rootschat - I'm optimistically hoping for beginner's luck!)
