Hi again,

I am also in contact with a lovely Wheeler cousin (in NZ) who has shared a lot of her side of the family with me, including the letter which sets out all the family names, dates, etc, and links to the Ashwins.

So far I also havent been able to connect the Bretforton Ashwins to the Bidford family, but not from lack of trying!

Hi whiteKat

I also have a pic of Emma, it is probably the same as you have, as I think it circulated around the family, it shows a lovely determined looking lady.

I have a heap of info collected over the years, and lots of interesting little bits and pieces about all the Ashwins, which I am happy to share with another 'cousin'

Regards

Hi
Mabel Ashwin was my great grandmother also.  I have researched the Ashwin family for many years and have a lot of info, including the same letter from Martin to his son Manley, about the family back in England.  Some of it doesnt quite fit, but I imagine Martins memory may have failed him slightly by then. I also have a letter from the Wheeler side, some things do tie in.
Does anyone happen to have a photo of Martin??
Would love to contact anyone else descended from this very large family!
Regards
Ro
