Thank you for the ideas. I am researching for a friend who needs a Polish passport. Like most people the info is scattered among the family here and there.

Census Lookup and Resource Requests / Cornelius Bennett
« on: Sunday 27 April 14 15:45 BST (UK)  »
Cornelius lived in Shifnel, Shropshire from 1830 /1880. He was an organist and a Professor of music and a music teacher. His father was John Bennett 44 years Choral Vicar at Lichfield Cathedral. Cornelius belonged to several Birmingham Lodges. He lived in High Street and The Grove, Horse Fair. How/where did he become a Professor? Does he have a headstone? Is there a memorial in the church to him? He had many talented children born in Shifnel who all drifted to London to take up medicine, dentistry, music, law etc. Any photos or snippets of information to fill out the life of this chap please? John was a choral Vicar at the Cathedral for 44 years so assume he is buried in The Close. Are the stones visible? Is it worth a very long journey to find his stone? Thanks for any help. noelenemary

« on: Thursday 26 January 12 15:36 GMT (UK)  »
An ancestor of mine died in the asylum 5th October 1854. Squire Woodfine aged 92. He had a much younger wife, Susannah who died 22 December 1854. in Lewisham.
Can anyone help with where they could be buried please? I understand someone has some photos of graves. I would willingly buy one from that person.
thanks. N
