Thanks Kate,
I am new to the site, my son in laws connection is John TRAYNOR born Balina 1867, see 1901 census he was living 10, Main Street, Philipstown, Kings County. As he was a policeman and my son in laws family thought that his father was also a policeman, I was opting for the Thomas TRAYNOR and Catherine STEPHENS as the father and mother for John? It was also family tradition that Thomas TRAYNOR was from Cavan/Monaghan? Note Policemen were not allowed to serve in the County of their birth.

Sean

KateGalway are you still on line? I am tracing my son in laws family tree who has a John TRAYNOR born 1867 Ballina to Thomas and Catherine STEPHENS.

You say you think you are conected to the above John?
