Hi Janet

Have recently just read the Will of David Boyd and it's obvious he trusted greatly in his nephew Adam Skelly.  The fact that Adam was also determined to rest alongside his uncle (despite the distance and undoubted expense) may tell us that they were very close indeed.

When I have the time, I'll sent a photo of their memorial:- my e-mail is: puddleford@gmaIL.com

Regards..........Billy

Robert McGavin jnr's parents have a gravestone in Irvine Old Parish kirkyard.  Robert Magavin, Grocer/Merchant died 3 Sep 1853 aged 75, and Mary Reid his wife died 26 Dec 1851.  It was erected by their son Rev James McGavin D.D. minister of Dundee.  e- mail:- (*))
