Hi there Bowiewhist,
I am from Penrhyndeudraeth and actually run an old photos and history of Penrhyndeudraeth group on Facebook which has many many old photos and history of the village. If you are on Facebook then let me know and I will send you the link. There were many many post offices in Penrhyn years ago. I am 31 and remember 3!
I do think the one you are referring to is the one mentioned already by the Ironmongers. The other one on the high street belonged to a Mr. Paul.
I shall try my best to find any information I can for you from locals etc
