Dear Roy, Are you still interested in Martha Jones nee Edmunds? She was my grandmother. She spent a short time as a pupil teacher, not uncommon in those days, but did not work after her marriage to my grand father J.C.B. Jones. She had 13 children two of whom died in infancy. J.John Jones was my grandfather's eldest son Jacob by his first wife. He was killed in a colliery accident at Nine Mile Point Cwmfelinfach. If you want names, d.o.bs. etc of the children I can let you have them. I remember them all quite well. My great grandfather Thomas Edmunds was a tailor and must have been in a good way of business because as you say she was of independent means. I know she owned 4 or 5 houses in Ynysddu and Bargoed. I don't know why my grand mother, who was her youngest child inherited them all but she did. They have all gone now of course. Why are you interested in us? Are we related? I also know a bit about my grandmother's sisters and their families if you are interested
